“I am delighted to be part of the HAZEMAG family and I’m always eager to use my knowledge to advance the company’s development”, said 37-year-old industrial engineer Tobias Schlüter, enthusiastically. “This is a new direction for me, but also something of a reward for past achievements.”
In January 2022, Tobias Schlüter was reassigned from his previous position, as sales manager, and appointed to the position of product manager. Asked to define the basic duties and values of the new job he was about to take on Tobias explained: “This role is quite different from my previous position and I’m hoping to establish a fresh and successful culture of communication between all departments and companies within the HAZEMAG group.”
As a product manager, it’s not realistic to go it alone and instead he brings together colleagues from other departments such as sales, R&D, operations, service and control, and so on, as Tobias continued: “I lead a virtual team within the HAZEMAG Group to enable more purposeful communication between all departments, in order to deliver the best solutions for our company.”
Where there’s a will, there’s a way and, thanks to team efforts, communication between the technology and R&D and product management departments has obviously improved to an unprecedented level. “Together, we can create innovative and modern products”, Tobias affirms. With a team of highly motivated employees, colleagues and friends, Tobias Schlüter is determined to take advantage of a revitalised team spirit to promote the renowned HAZEMAG brand more vigorously. “My aim is to strengthen the HAZEMAG brand and generate business growth with a standardised and modular product portfolio.” To this end, the Global Testing and Research Centre, where Tobias Schlüter works, is closely involved in the development of product standardisation. Tobias Schlüter’s team already implements proposals initiated automatically through CRM software for all standardised products; which ensures a faster response to customers’ requirements.
The standardisation of product information, including new and cohesive photographs, illustrations and language, and the same look and feel to all products, allows Tobias to market HAZEMAG equipment in the best possible light. Moving forward, HAZEMAG employees worldwide will have access to consistent,
standardised product information. This new information can be presented to customers and business partners in a unified and professional way, and ensures that details for different product lines are presented effectively, in a consistent format. “This new and successful standardisation of product information will also be adopted by other companies in the HAZEMAG Group,” Tobias Schlüter added, passionately. “Proactively collecting suggestions for improvements, and subsequently actively promoting implementation, has nurtured an improved and enhanced understanding within the company. Developing an approach to continuous improvement across the HAZEMAG Group is key to the successful transformation of the company, and is one of my main objectives.”
HAZEMAG’s initiative to identify and define best practice processes and workflows has been prominent throughout the year. Tobias Schlüter was heavily involved in improving overall business development and performance and has achieved huge success. “In conjunction with our marketing department, we have developed a social media strategy for the company’s products to ensure HAZEMAG products are positively promoted – the success of which can be measured by the rapidly increasing number of followers on the company’s social media platforms and the improved customer traffic and contacts coming from the company’s website, and it’s clear that the same approach can be successfully extended to all group companies. Everything I do is focused on the profitable growth of the company and strengthening communication and working relationships between the outstanding people our company employs”, says Tobias.
Looking ahead, Tobias Schlüter concluded: “Such innovative processes, workflow efficiencies and best practices will be further promoted across the HAZEMG Group and its affiliated companies and will, unquestionably, take the Group’s business to a higher level.”
